What is an RC

Rate contracts generally are pre-agreed deals between buyers and sellers outlining fixed prices and terms for goods or services over a fixed period. They offer stability, streamline procurement, and foster long-term relationships by ensuring consistent pricing and simplified purchasing processes.


How to Create an RC

Follow the below steps to create an RC in the customer portal.


  1. Log in to the Aerchain customer portal.
  2. Click Modules.
  3. Click New Rate Contract under Contracts.
  4. Fill in the values.
  5. Click the Submit button.
    ✔️ The Approvers pop-up opens.
  6. Type and choose the approver(s).
  7. Click the Submit button.
    ✔️ The status of the rate contract changes to pending approval.
  8. Click the Approve > Yes button; Click the Reject > Yes button to reject the RC.
    ℹ️ This Approver should do this step.


The status of the Rate Contract changes to Released.


Now the supplier has to accept or reject the rate contract. Once they accept the rate contract, it will move to Active state from the rate contract start date.


How to Download a Rate Contract

To download a rate contract follow the below steps:


  1. Hover over the Download link.
  2. Click the Rate contract number.


Your rate contract document will be downloaded.


How to Terminate a Rate Contract

To terminate an RC, follow the below.


  1. Click the Terminate button.
    ✔️ The Approvers pop-up opens.
  2. Type and select the approvers.
  3. Type the Reason for canceling in the Reason for Cancel textbox.
  4. Click the Submit button.
  5. Approver Step: Click the Approve button, to approve the termination. To reject click the Reject button.

Once approved, the rate contract will be terminated.


How to Reassign RC

To reassign an RC to another user, follow the below.


  1. Click the More button.
  2. Click Reassign.
    ✔️ The Reassign User pop-up opens.
  3. Choose the user from the REASSIGN USER.
  4. Type in the Reason in the REASON text box.
  5. Click the Reassign button.


How and Why to Regenerate an RC Document

You can regenerate the rate contract document. The major reason you'd want to regenerate the RC document is that the values in the current RC have been changed. And, to download the rate contract document after you make any changes, follow the below steps.


  1. Click the More button.
  2. Click Regenerate Document.
    ✔️ The Acknowledgement pops up to confirm the action.



You have successfully downloaded the new regenerated RC document.
