What is a PO Short Close

Short closing a PO is closing a Purchase Order before it's fully processed. When a PO is invoiced or inwarded for partial quantity and you decide to close that PO, you short close a PO.


How to Short Close a PO

Follow the below steps to short-close a PO.


  1. Log in to the Aerchain customer portal.
  2. Click the Modules icon.
  3. Click PO under Purchase Orders.
  4. Click the code of the PO which you want to short-close.
    ✔️ The PO view page opens.
  5. Click the Short Close button.
    ✔️The short-close approvers page opens.
  6. Type and select approvers.
  7. Click the Short Close button.


Once approved, the PO should be short-closed.


NOTE

If the PO flow requires GRN, then the short close option is enabled only after the GRN is processed.
