Introduction
RFQ is the abbreviation of Request for Quotation.
An RFQ is a request made by the customer to the supplier to get quotes for products or services. An RFQ aims to get the best quote from the list of potential suppliers.
Let's consider this scenario. A customer wants to procure a product or service. They choose you as their potential supplier. They want to know your quote, as they have other potential suppliers too. In that case, they will send you an RFQ (Request for Quote ).
An RFQ arrives to you in two ways:
- Email.
- Look for an email containing the subject ..New RFQ received from...
- Click the Click here to view button.
✔️ You will be taken to the Aerchain Supplier portal.
- Look for an email containing the subject ..New RFQ received from...
- In-App notification.
- Log in to the Aerchain Supplier Portal.
- Click the Notification icon. The bell icon.
- Click the RFQ request.
✔️ Takes you to the corresponding RFQ view page.
Now, follow the below steps to submit a quote from the supplier portal of Aerchain.
How a Supplier Can Submit a Quote
The quotes are waiting for the supplier to respond.
- Log in to the supplier portal (SAPP).
- Click the Modules icon.
- Click RFQs.
- Click on the Pending Quotation filter.
- Click on the Code of the RFQ you want to quote.
- Click the Accept button.
- Check the I accept the Terms of this Agreement checkbox.
- Click Accept.
- Click Quote.
- Expand the Items section.
- Type in the Price. That is your quote.
- Fill in all the other necessary fields.
- Type in the Lead time in the Quote Information section.
- Click Submit Quote.
✔️Submit Quote confirmation pop-up appears. - Click Confirm.
Now your quote has been successfully submitted to the customer.
NOTE: The customer might resend the quote. You will receive a similar notification and an email; follow along.
