This article is about a change to the budget termination access.


What is Budget Terminate

A budget termination is the act of terminating a budget, where all the budget data is changed to read-only and that budget can no longer be used.

Explanation

Earlier the terminate role was provided to the budget creator by default.

For various reasons, the termination access should be restricted. The creator should not necessarily have access to terminate the budget just because they created it. Hence, we introduce role-based budget terminate access. Now, the budget terminate access can be assigned to roles and will apply to all the users who are part of that role.


This should increase better management on budget termination.


How to Assign Terminate Access

Follow the below steps to assign a Terminate role access to a user.


  1. Login to Aerchain's customer portal.
  2. Click Org Settings. (Cog Wheel Icon)
  3. Click User & Roles & Employee Groups.
  4. Click Roles.
  5. Click Edit on the role of your choice.
  6. Click + More corresponding to the Budgets.
  7. Check Terminate.
  8. Click Update.
