What is a Product Master

The product master, or a product master list has all the necessary information about a specific product. For example, the laptop's product master will have all the essential information about that laptop in detail, like, CPU, RAM, ROM, supplier, brand, etc.


Steps to Create a Product Master

Follow the below steps to navigate to the product masters in Aerchain.


  1. Login to the Aerchain customer portal.
  2. Click Modules.
  3. Click Products.
  4. Click the + New button.
    ✔️ New Product form opens.
  5. Fill in the values.
  6. Click Create.


Some text boxes in the New Product Form are explained below.


* Mandatory


Text Box NameWhat to fill?Explanation
* NAMEType the name of the product.Name of the product.
* UNITUnit of measurement of the product. e.g., KG, Meters, etc.Select the UoM of the product. 
* TAXESSelect the applicable tax percentage.Tax slab under which this product falls.
* ITEM GROUPChoose from the dropdown, the category to which this item belongs.Category under which this product falls.
* EXPENSE TYPEChoose either Capex or Opex from the dropdown.The expense type this product falls under. Operational Expense or Capital Expense.
ATTACHMENTS

You can add attachments if required.

To add:

  1. Click Upload.
  2. Select the file to upload.
  3. Click Open.
    ✔️ The below success message pops up.

Any file(s) corresponding to this product can be added as an attachment.

HSN/SAC

Type in the HSN/SAC code.

Please refer to this article to learn more about HSN/SCA codes.

SPECIFICATIONS

Provide product specification(s) in a key-value pair. e.g., Processor: A15 Bionic.Any product specifications can be added as an entry in a key-value pair format.
IMAGES

You can add images if required.

To add:

  1. Click Upload.
  2. Select the file to upload.
  3. Click Open.
    ✔️ The below success message pops up.
Any relevant images of the product can be uploaded.


Note

The above fields are provided as an example. There maybe other feilds as well in the product master creation page based on custom configuration.
