Excel has been the start for any sort of Quote management since beginning and most of us got used to the UI and operation. In terms of functionality, excel surely does the job but when it comes to convenience and control, only a trained user can use it to its maximum potential.

To bridge this gap, where ever a normal user can use excel type functionalities to customize and manage their quote - We build worksheets on Aerchain for the line-items

In our RFQ module, you can now build worksheets for your RFQs and customize them as per convenience.

Worksheets for line-items

  • Feedback settings: You can now add rules to columns to prompt you specific information if the defined formula conditions are met.
    • For example, in the above SC if the QTY is less than 1 when a vendor submits the quote, then the Amount field will reflect with Pink highlight as defined in the feedback settings (highlighted)
  • Grouping Line-items: If there are multiple Items that needed to be added under a single group, that can be done easily on Aerchain now
    • Add Group button will be at the end of table and at every line item as highlighted above
    • Enter the group name
    • Add item(s) that fall under this group
    • You can also sub categorize groups as per complexity
    • Above Example shows one group 6. Computer Accessories which is sub categorized further as 6.4.1 for line-item 4 in this category.
  • Identified Savings: Aerchain takes into account the current active RC if any against the product and displays the saving if any when compared to the quote submitted by the vendor. If there are no active RCs, historical data such as previous POs are taken to calculate the identified savings

  • Actual Savings: There are cases where we pick a different supplier even though we have a RC with a supplier due to several reasons, in such cases the actual saving might change. To reflect the same, the system shows how much would you actually save if you went ahead with a particular supplier.

Using all the above features in our worksheet, you can now customize your RFQ as and when required for each RFQ. This is to allow the customer procure all the necessary information with zero compromising on details from the supplier.
