Roles are the way an organization defines a set of responsibilities and activities the employees must perform as per their role definition. In Aerchain the admin can create roles as per existing company demographic and select what action they will have access to while carrying out the procurement related tasks in Aerchain.


In case, there is a new role addition in the organization that has different functions and responsibilities when compared to the existing one's. To create a role go to the org settings as shown in the image below.


Later, select roles from the menu on the left as highlighted in the image and click on the +New Button to add a new role.


A pop-up will appear with all the necessary fields that needs to be filled by the Admin to create this specific role like shown in the image below.


Name: Enter the name/designation of that role such as AP Lead, Manager, Stock issuer etc.

Description: If needed explain the function and responsibility in a couple of lines.

Admin level selection: If this new role has any Admin level responsibilities at transaction or system level select the box under these fields

Check roles: Below are the columns with actions for each module (Left). Tick the boxes as per the role definition for example if this user needs the create access for RFQ, click the first column box at the RFQ row


After checking off all the required boxes at the role level, re-check if every action is aligned as per the role function. and click on the create button at the end of the pop-up.


More functions on Roles

There are two actions that the user can take with all the existing roles



  1. Editing
    User can edit an existing role by clicking on the edit button beside every role. This will open up the pop-up while creating the role. Do the necessary changes such as checking different boxes in different modules and click on the save button

  2. Cloning
    In case there is a new role that needs to be created and that role functions are almost identical to an existing role but with few changes. You can clone the existing role and create a new role by doing the necessary changes.
