In the previous step, we have learned how to create a new Supplier. Supplier onboarding is an organized process to gather the required documentation and data to approve, qualify, contract vendors, purchase goods or services, and make payments to new suppliers. 


This article will explain how to onboard a Supplier. 


First, click on "Supplier" in modules and select the supplier to whom the request should be sent.


Once you click on the supplier you will be able to see the below screen.




Now, click on "Send Onboarding Request".


Supplier Category: While adding a new supplier if you have added a supplier category then this field loads automatically but still, you can change the category even here. While adding a supplier if you had not defined the category for the supplier then you will be able to define it here.


Payment Terms: This payment term should be agreed upon by the supplier and while doing the transaction these payment terms will be applicable.


Onboarding Template: You can select which kind of form should be filled by the supplier from the drop-down. The setup will be done in the org settings for the forms which appear here. 



If you had pre-defined the approval, you will get below the pop-up window. Click on "Submit" to send the request. After sending the supplier status will change to request.



Once you submit supplier will get an email notification. Please check the below screenshot for sample notification.
